The Black River bandits, affiliated with the national Cowboy Fast Draw Association, hosts public tournaments every year. The next one, “Y’or A Daisy If Ya Do” Jackpot Shoot, will be held April 27 and 28, 2024, in the 4H Building at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds in Superior.

Registration Forms can be found on the CFDA website, or at the range in the 4H Building on April 7 & 21 during the club practices.

A cowboy or cowgirl might be fast, but he or she MUST hit the target! Who will be the fastest? Yee-haw!

**The FUN will begin Saturday, April 27 at 9 AM for Cowboy Fast Draw members from all affiliated clubs with a 15-ft, 4X elimination, Last man Standing Contest on 17” targets and continued Sunday, April 28 at 9 AM, with a 11-ft, 3X elimination, Last Man Standing Contest, again on 17” targets.
**As each shooter X-es out of the competition, he or she can chose an item from the X-Out “Prize” Table for participating, shooting his or her best, and being a good sport. The prizes, all donated by members & friends of the Black River Bandits, will be numerous, varied, and fabulous.
**The host club provides coffee all day and the hotdogs & buns for lunch. Continental breakfast items and the rest of the lunch will be provided by the Black River Bandits individual members in a potluck buffet style, with a lunch donation taken for “Shoot for the Stars.”
**The Jackpot Shoot attendees will also bid fiercely but all in fun during the weekend’s Silent Auction.
**There will also be a “Western Garb & Gear” Rummage Sale/Flea Market/Exchange held on Friday April 26 from 5 to 7 PM in the same 4H Building.
**A “Social Gathering” is scheduled for Saturday in a separate area of “Aces on 29th” after the awards ceremony at the range, for shooters to get together over a variety of meal specials or tasty appetizers or just a beverage.

**Usually, the CFDA shooters registered for the events not only travel from clubs in Wisconsin but also from clubs in other states, such as Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, South Dakota, and Nebraska, demonstrating the popularity of this rapid growing family sport.
